Health, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE) are taken very seriously at Oman LNG and are top priorities for management in fulfilling its duties to all the Company’s stakeholders.
Some of the key issues that are addressed at Oman LNG include: |
| Health |
Ensuring that everyone is fit for work and not exposed to short or long term health risks in the execution of work.
Areas of focus include hygiene, physical protection, protection of senses, especially hearing in high-noise areas, avoidance of stress and maintenance of a balanced life-style |
| Safety |
Everyone has the right and responsibility to come to work and return home safely and unharmed by anything or anybody they encounter.
Areas of focus are safe working practices in everything we do and the use of Personal Protective Equipment and the strict enforcement of the “12 Life Saving Rules” |
The integrity of assets and ensuring process safety is at the core of our business.
Areas of focus include the safe operation and continuous maintenance of the assets used in our business. |
Road Traffic Accidents are a major cause of injury and death in Oman.
Areas of focus include ensuring the use of road-worthy vehicles, wearing seat belts, no speeding and no hand-phones when driving. |
| Security |
We are responsible for the Security of all People who work for Oman LNG and for the assets and information of the Company.
Areas of focus include access control to company facilities, information security – especially those stored electronically, asset registration and control. |
| Environment |
We have an obligation to minimize the environmental impact of our activities and to ensure that the right of future generations to enjoy our natural environment is not impaired.
Focus areas include maximizing energy efficiency, ensuring control of all and any effluents and minimizing and managing waste |
